AMD in Seattle, WA is seeking a senior Business Development professional to own the account strategy for one of our largest North American hyperscale cloud partners. You will lead execution, customer engagement, and drive AMD EPYC server design-in opportunities.

You will work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and sales teams to shape value propositions, align with business goals, and deliver revenue growth while advancing AMD's server ecosystems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the computing industry at Cloud Provider, OEM, ODM, or Technology Provider.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Ownership of a named hyperscale or large account, including accountability for revenue and design-in results.
  • Knowledge of modern server platform architecture and datacenter infrastructure.
  • Outstanding written, oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own the account strategy, direction, milestones, and lead the team to achieve them.
  • Own account success, including revenue attainment, NPI, designs, and long term strategies.
  • Engage with customers, evangelizing AMD technologies, and drive to design-in goals and revenue capture.
  • Drive and manage all pre-design-win efforts and deliverables, including product and marketing collateral, product portfolio planning, technical summits, and PoC demos.
  • Understand the customer’s business goals and requirements, shaping value propositions that fulfill needs and resonate with the customer.
  • Foster relationships and manage customer expectations to ensure needs are aligned with AMD goals.
  • Be a strong advocate for the customer internally.
  • Understand customer hw and sw requirements, configurations, and applications to help guide solution architecting accordingly.
  • Maintain awareness of, and provide reports on, customer status and key issues.
  • Drive for highest levels of customer engagement and satisfaction.

THE ROLE:

This requisition is for a senior Business Development role within the Cloud Business Group at AMD. The role is customer-facing and will focus on one of AMD’s largest North American hyperscale cloud partners, who is enabling server solutions around AMD silicon. This individual will own the account strategy, lead its execution and customer engagement at the designated partner, and be at the forefront of driving AMD EPYC server CPU design-in wins and adoption of AMD server solutions.


THE PERSON

The ideal candidate will possess a breadth of abilities and skills, including: CPU product knowledge, server architecture awareness, strong marketing and presentation skills, solid understanding of customers’ business and decision makers, ability to craft resonating customer value propositions, and strong team leadership skills. Most importantly, you are the business owner for your account, owning strategy, setting direction, and accountable for account success in all facets, including revenue attainment, NPI, designs, and long term strategies. You must be self-driven, and capable of operating autonomously.


The applicant must be a team player with a commitment to meeting deadlines and an aptitude to thrive in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment. The position is based in Seattle, WA. Some travel (up to 15%), is expected


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Own the account strategy and direction, the resulting tactical milestones, and lead the team to achieve them.

  • Own account success, including revenue attainment, NPI, designs, and long term strategies

  • Alongside Sales, be a primary contact point in customer engagements, evangelizing new company technologies and products, driving to design-in goals and revenue capture

  • Drive and manage all pre-design win efforts and deliverables, including product and marketing collateral, product portfolio planning, technical summits, and Proof-of-Concept demo’s, to achieve business goals and revenue targets

  • Understand the customer’s business goals and requirements, shaping value propositions that fulfill needs and resonate with the customer

  • Foster relationships and manage customer expectations to ensure needs are aligned with AMD business goals

  • Be a strong advocate for the customer internally

  • Understand customer h/w and s/w requirements, configurations, and applications to help guide solution architecting accordingly

  • Maintain awareness of, and provide reports on, customer status and key issues

  • Drive for highest levels of customer engagement and satisfaction


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE


  • Experience in the computing industry, at the Cloud Provider, OEM, ODM, or Technology Provider level

  • Experience in a customer-facing role

  • Demonstrated ownership of a named hyperscale, Cloud Provider, or other large strategic account, including accountability for revenue and design-in results

  • Knowledge of modern server platform architecture and datacenter infrastructure

  • Outstanding written, oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple simultaneous projects

  • Highly results driven


ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS


  • BS, or higher, in Engineering (Computer or Electrical) strongly preferred. MBA preferred
