Job summary

Hitachi Vantara is seeking a Sr. Product Manager for Unstructured Data Workloads used in AI and analytics solutions.

You will own outbound and inbound responsibilities for Data Lakehouse, GenAI, and related workloads, collaborating with Engineering to define vision and drive successful product launches. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in Product Management with deep knowledge of data platforms, AI tooling, and related software ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science or MIS.
• 10+ years of experience in Product Management; engineering/tech strategy a plus.
• Deep knowledge of Unstructured Data Workloads (Data Lakehouse, GenAI, Agentic AI, RAG, Inferencing, Data Prep, Model Customization, Data Lake, Streaming, Unstructured DBs & Training).

Responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering to develop and launch solutions regularly.
• Identify market opportunities; define solution vision and strategy.
• Engage with prospects and customers to uncover drivers and define ROI.
• Develop ROI projections and release goals; prioritize features.
• Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape; evangelize solutions.

The role requires industry expertise in real-world scenarios of deploying Infrastructure Solutions for Data Lakehouse, GenAI, Agentic AI, RAG, Inferencing, Data Preparation, Model Customization, Data Lake, Streaming, Unstructured Databases & Model Training. To successfully execute in this role, you’ll need to have exposure to the various aspects of Infrastructure Solutions, namely, Compute, Storage, Networking, Applications Stack, Operating Systems, Kubernetes/Containers, Virtualization and Consulting/Services/Support.**The role*** Partner with Engineering to develop and enhance solutions and launch them on a regular basis.* Identify market opportunities, define solution vision and strategy.* Engage with prospects and customers to discover underlying business drivers, identify challenges, devise solutions and demonstrate capabilities.* Develop ROI projections and analysis to determine the business value, define release goals and prioritize features.* Monitor relevant emerging industry trends and technologies and develop a keen understanding of the corresponding on-premise and cloud competitive landscape.* Evangelize and drive adoption of solutions into multiple market segments leveraging various communication channels such as presentations, speak at industry forums, whitepapers, blogs, webinars, live demonstrations, etc.* Work with sales and partners, be advocate of our solutions, and build a strong ecosystem for us.**What you’ll bring*** Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science or Management Information Systems* 10+ years of experience in Product Management. Additional experience in Engineering and Technology Strategy role is a plus.* Deep understanding and knowledge of various Unstructured Data Workloads, namely, Data Lakehouse, GenAI, Agentic AI, RAG, Inferencing, Data Preparation, Model Customization, Data Lake, Streaming, Unstructured Databases & Model Training.* Specifically, 5+ years of knowledge and experience in the following: Data Bricks, Starburst, Zetaris, TensorRT, Seldon, Pentaho, DBT, Hugging Face, Arrow, Splunk, Kafka, Flink, Nemo, MegaTron Core and application environments utilizing these softwares.* Knowledge and experience in converged stack (compute, network, storage) and GPU solutions; with emphasis from an end-customer deployment, selling and licensing perspective.* An entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently to deliver results.* High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.* Strong analytical and quantitative skills; experience using financial data, usage metrics, ROI, etc. to drive decision-making.* Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience engaging and influencing cross functional teams.* This position is headquartered in Santa Clara. 10% domestic and international travel may be required.
