Amazon in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Product Manager Tech to own a managed service within the OIS Product Suite. You will define strategy, coordinate with engineering, and drive self-service capabilities across a broad infrastructure portfolio.
The role requires 5+ years in product management, strong technical acumen, and ability to translate product direction into shippable design while balancing build vs buy decisions.
Job ID: 10545108 | Amazon.com Services LLC
Amazon's Operations Infrastructure Services (OIS) team is building the unified self-service experience that manages networking, compute, and devices across 3,000+ global operations sites from fulfillment centers to delivery stations and grocery stores, processing millions of daily orders. The OIS Product Suite is the unified entry point across a portfolio of independently operated managed services, analogous to AWS.com, enabling solution teams to provision and manage infrastructure without manual intervention.
We are hiring a Senior Product Manager Technical to own a managed service within our product suite. This is a greenfield opportunity to set the product direction for how Amazon's operations infrastructure is managed for the next decade, at the intersection of software-defined services, physical operations, and emerging agentic AI systems.
You spend most of your time at the intersection of product strategy and hands-on technical work. A typical day might start by walking your own self-service flow the way a solution team would, then reading the escalation queue to see who gave up and asked a human instead. From there you might jump into a whiteboard session with engineers debating where your service's contract ends and the next managed service in the suite begins, or writing the PRFAQ that decides which capabilities belong in the product at all. And you will regularly find yourself deciding which of those capabilities should still require a human in the loop and which are ready to be handed to an agent, because that boundary is still yours to define.
