As a Technical Product Manager at Amazon, you will own the vision, roadmap, and delivery of products that solve real customer problems at scale. You will partner closely with engineering, design, science, and business teams to define what we build and why - using data, customer insights, and sound judgment to make smart trade-offs. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex technical challenges, influence product architecture decisions, and drive meaningful business outcomes while keeping the customer at the center of everything you do.

Key job responsibilities

• Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap by working backward from customer needs, conducting research, analyzing usage data and market trends, and translating insights into clear problem statements and prioritized deliverables.
• Partner with engineering, scientists, end economists to evaluate technical proposals, define requirements for APIs and system components, and ensure product solutions balance performance, scalability, and long-term architectural integrity.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, science, design, finance, marketing, and operations to deliver products on time and at high quality, influencing teams with different priorities through clear communication and well-structured documents.
• Define success criteria and key performance metrics, distinguish between output and outcome measures, and use data analysis alongside sound judgement to inform decisions - leveraging generative AI capabilities where appropriate to accelerate insight generation and development cycles.
• Influence multiple VP-led organisations on their customer experience approaches and investment priorities
• Own the full product lifecycle from concept through launch and post-launch optimisation, monitoring operational health, driving customer adoption, and iterating based on performance data and direct customer feedback.

A day in the life

You start your morning reviewing product metrics and customer feedback to identify emerging patterns.
By mid-morning, you are in a design review with engineers, probing trade-offs in a proposed architecture change and aligning on next steps.
After lunch, you draft a product requirements document for an upcoming feature, grounding it in recent customer research.
Later, you connect with cross-functional partners in marketing and operations to coordinate an upcoming launch.
Throughout, you use AI tools to prototype ideas and accelerate analysis, keeping your focus on delivering the right experience for customers.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalent
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
• Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritisation and planning

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, or Master's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
• Background in analytics and causal inference (strongly preferred)
• Experience working with Machine Learning Scientists, Economists, or other science domains to develop highly scalable systems that solve challenges around forecasting, optimisation, personalisation, or similar
• Demonstrated cross-functional ownership of complex, ambiguous initiatives, including communicating with senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
