Job summary

Amazon in Nashville, TN seeks a Sr. Product Manager for the Last Mile team to own delivery performance products and mechanisms used by delivery service partners (DSPs). You will build a roadmap, drive data-grounded decisions, and reduce defects while influencing product and engineering roadmaps.

The role requires 5+ years in product/program management, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and the ability to travel up to 10% within the US. Base salary is $124,500–$168,500 per year plus benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the complexity of metrics, deep dive data, and work with engineering and product teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Map signals to ground-truth of the behaviors that drivers engage in while on route.
  • Overcome obstacles and work across teams to deliver high quality deliverables on-time. Balance when to dive deep and when to move forward with limited information.
  • Understand complex use-cases, connect the dots between processes and systems, and invent scalable solutions.
  • Identify, develop and enhance performance products that will improve the safety, quality, and speed of customers’ shipments.
  • Develop effective scaling mechanisms, influence the roadmap and make trade-offs on prioritization with multi-year impact.
  • Operate and deliver in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a dynamic and organized self-starter to join as a Sr. Product Manager for the Last Mile team to manage Service Level Standards (SLS) Performance. This person will own delivery performance products and mechanisms that delivery service partners (DSPs) use to manage their operations. This person will obsess about accountability mechanisms and data accuracy. They will build a roadmap to for the programs or metrics they manage, create closed loop mechanisms, and reduce defects. They will influence product and engineering roadmaps, ground-truth metrics from the data source to the field, and reduce bad actor behavior. This role will develop a strategy to data quality and expand our measurable and accountability signals. They will investigate customer anecdotes, keeping a shape eye where experience does not match the data. We are seeking bar-raising candidates who are able to:

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a product manager or owner
  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience with end to end product delivery

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
