Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a motivated business development professional to grow its Datacenter Building Block Solutions (DCBBS). You will build relationships with enterprise and hyperscale customers, understand their needs, and help bring rack-scale and AI-optimized infrastructure to market.

You will collaborate across Engineering, Sales, Rack Integration, and Sales Engineering to shape proposals, inform product strategy, and support winning bids while delivering long-term customer value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree is a plus but not required.
• 8+ years in business development, technical sales or strategic account management in data center or AI infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure (power, cooling, rack integration) is helpful.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated person to help grow our Datacenter Building Block Solutions (DCBBS). In this role, you'll support business development efforts and contribute to product strategy. Your focus will be on building relationships, understanding customer needs, and helping bring rack-scale and AI-optimized infrastructure solutions to market. Working closely with the team, you'll help turn technical ideas into practical customer solutions and support steady, sustainable growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support Commercial Growth & Market Reach – Help drive adoption of the DCBBS portfolio by working with sales and partner teams. Assist in pursuing strategic opportunities with enterprise and hyperscale customers. Contribute to account strategies that aim to bring in new customers over time.
• Collaborate on Solution Development for Customer Success – Work with customers to understand their business and technical needs (including AI/HPC workloads). Help shape customized DCBBS proposals, with input from engineering and product teams, to support winning bids and long-term customer relationships.
• Contribute to Product Strategy – Learn from customer conversations, market trends, and competitor insights to help inform product direction. Support the product lifecycle from planning to promotion.
• Build and Maintain Relationships – Develop positive working relationships with key customer contacts and ecosystem partners. Offer thoughtful advice that aligns with customers' long-term infrastructure plans and positions the company as a helpful solutions provider.
• Work Cross-Functionally – Coordinate with Engineering, Sales, Rack Integration, and Sales Engineering teams to ensure product development reflects real-world demand. Support the smooth execution of strategic deals from early qualification through delivery.

Qualifications:

• Education – Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus but not required.
• Experience – Several years (8+ preferred) in a role involving business development, technical sales, or strategic account management within data center or AI infrastructure. Hands‑on exposure to data center infrastructure (power, cooling, rack integration) is helpful. Familiarity with AI/HPC server architecture, GPU platforms, InfiniBand, or high-speed networking is valued.
• Skills – Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain business value in a clear, down-to-earth way. Interest in identifying new market opportunities and customer leads to support growth. Willingness to learn from market data, customer feedback, and competitive insights to help shape sales and product efforts. Basic project coordination skills, including planning, organizing, and managing tasks with team support. Ability to think through challenges and contribute to solutions. A team‑oriented, self‑aware person who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and is motivated by making a positive impact.

Salary Range

$162,000 - $182,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
