As a Senior Product Designer, you will apply principles of design thinking to conceptualize and create engaging, valuable, and intuitive user experiences for our web and mobile apps. You will represent the end-user and promote human-centered methodologies across the product team to ensure new designs that meet people’s needs from first-time users to seasoned experts.

This role is focused on product growth and experimentation. You will play a critical role in shaping product led growth by designing high impact experiences across the product that convert and retain while maintaining the highest bar of craft and quality for our users. This role blends UX craft, strategic thinking, and data fluency to solve user problems while driving business outcomes. You’ll work closely with growth PMs and engineers to translate insights into concise, high-fidelity UX/UI and messaging that guide users through key journeys from activation to conversion. You’ll lead with design thinking, use experimentation to learn fast, and bring others along through clear storytelling and a sharp focus on outcomes.

You will report to our Director, Product Design, or you may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer.

You Will:

  • Advocate for the needs of your audience leveraging design thinking
  • Optimize experiences through A/B testing and experimentation
  • Partner closely with our research and data teams to inform design decisions
  • Help boost design quality through your work
  • Collaborate with and contribute to research
  • Contribute to and use defined patterns, guides, tools, and libraries to deliver work in service of feature design.
  • Explain and defend the context, merits, and goals of your ideas and solutions across all required mediums.
  • Work cross-functionally with partners and cross-product relationships.
  • Create understanding across product teams to launch new features and evolve existing ones based on an understanding of user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
  • Build and iterate on features that enrich our customers' experience with Smartsheet.
  • Support other duties as assigned.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Product Designer, or similar role
  • Strong visual design skills and ability to influence design quality
  • Ability to deliver complex experiences that scale within SAAS or enterprise environments.
  • Exudes leadership qualities demonstrated through work and mentoring others
  • Experience facilitating activities to align on goals, outcomes and requirements across the organization
  • Highly collaborative and resilient to stakeholder feedback
  • Applied understanding of the relationships between hierarchy, interaction, typography, color, and layout.
  • Desire to learn and evolve your thinking across all areas of design, product, and leadership.
  • Degree in Design (Interaction, Product, Communication, HCD, or related) or equivalent experience.

Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive incentive opportunity.

US Base Salary Pay Range

$152,500 - $201,250 USD
