Client Growth Resources, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer for a precision manufacturing client in Buffalo, NY. The role blends mechanical design, analysis, prototype evaluation, and collaboration with customers and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable solutions.

You will translate requirements into specifications, maintain 3D CAD models and drawings, perform tolerance analyses, and support NPI, changes, and troubleshooting across production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Progressive experience designing mechanical products through production release.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD, detailed drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and ECR/ECN processes.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing methods, interfaces, and design verification.
• Ability to independently manage technical work across functions.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements and application conditions into product specifications and detailed design concepts.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, production drawings, bills of materials, and design documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations, material selection, tolerance analysis, and design risk assessments.
• Design components and assemblies with appropriate consideration of temperature, pressure, sealing, interfaces, and manufacturability as applicable.
• Develop prototype and validation plans, evaluate test results, and refine designs to meet performance requirements.
• Lead or contribute to design reviews and resolve technical issues with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
• Support new product introduction, engineering changes, and troubleshooting of production or field performance concerns.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and improve design practices and reusable engineering knowledge.

Position Summary

Design and develop precision products and custom engineered assemblies from concept through production release. This hands-on role combines detailed mechanical design, engineering analysis, prototype evaluation, and collaboration with customers and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable solutions.

Preferred Background

Experience with temperature sensors, compression seals, pressure or vacuum interfaces, and custom industrial products is preferred. Familiarity with simulation tools, design for manufacturability, and customer-facing technical discussions is also valued.
