Job summary

United Future is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer to design and develop precision products and custom assemblies from concept to production release. This hands-on role combines mechanical design, analysis, prototype evaluation, and close collaboration with manufacturing.

You will translate customer requirements, maintain 3D CAD models and drawings, perform tolerance analyses, and lead design reviews to resolve issues with engineering, suppliers and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Progressive experience designing mechanical products or precision engineered assemblies through production release.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD, detailed drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering change control.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing methods, mechanical interfaces, and design verification.
• Ability to independently manage technical work, document decisions, and collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into product specifications and detailed design concepts.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, production drawings, bills of materials, and design documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations, material selection, tolerance analysis, and design risk assessments.
• Design components and assemblies with appropriate consideration of temperature, pressure, sealing, interfaces, and manufacturability as applicable.
• Develop prototype and validation plans, evaluate test results, and refine designs to meet performance requirements.
• Lead or contribute to design reviews and resolve technical issues with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
• Support new product introduction, engineering changes, and troubleshooting of production or field performance concerns.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and improve design practices and reusable engineering knowledge.

Position Summary

Design and develop precision products and custom engineered assemblies from concept through production release.
