Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Glendale, AZ (and Clearwater, FL) is seeking a Sr Procurement Buyer who will oversee procurement strategies, manage strategic sourcing, and lead supplier relations to ensure cost-effective operations.

You will report to the Sr. Director Procurement, collaborate with IPTs, SPMs, and cross-functional teams, and drive cost savings while maintaining compliance and quality standards in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in procurement or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field required.
• Experience with US Government Contracting (FAR, DFARs, FAR15) is valued.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with IPTs, SPMs, and other stakeholders to ensure program needs are met.
• Monitor and control purchasing costs, seek cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation.
• Foster and maintain supplier relationships, address concerns, resolve issues, and improve supply chain reliability.
• Ensure purchasing activities adhere to regulations, compliance standards, and internal policies; maintain records.
• Contribute to quality control standards in purchasing processes; conduct inspections and assessments.
• Participate in sourcing strategies; identify opportunities for supplier diversity, sustainability, and innovation.
• Leverage procurement software and analytics to improve purchasing processes, monitoring, and reporting.

Sr Procurement Buyer

As a Sr Procurement Buyer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the organization's procurement and purchasing activities at a strategic level. You will play a pivotal part in ensuring efficient procurement processes, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment within the procurement function. You will manage procurement projects and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve procurement objectives.

You will report directly to our Sr. Director Procurement and you will work out of our Glendale, AZ or Clearwater, FL location on a Hybrid work schedule.

Your strategic acumen in procurement and purchasing is instrumental in steering the organization toward efficient and cost-effective operations. You will represent the Procurement Fulfillment team with the site and will lead team members. You will oversee complex procurement projects and establish robust supplier relationships across Aerospace directly impacting our financial well-being and quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with Integrated Program Teams (IPT), Sourcing Program Managers (SPM), and other stakeholders as appropriate to ensure the needs of the program are met.
• Monitor and control purchasing costs, seeking cost-saving opportunities, negotiating favorable terms, and optimizing the allocation of resources.
• Foster and maintain relationships with suppliers, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and collaborating on improvements to ensure a reliable and responsive supply chain.
• Ensure that all purchasing activities adhere to relevant regulations, compliance standards, and internal policies, maintaining accurate and organized records.
• Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of quality control standards in purchasing processes, conducting inspections and performance assessments.
• Participate in implementing sourcing strategies, identifying opportunities for supplier diversity, sustainability, and innovation.
• Leverage technology solutions, such as procurement software and analytics, to enhance purchasing processes, monitoring, and reporting.

YOU MUST HAVE

• 3+ years of experience in procurement or other business related fields
