A leading engineering firm seeks a Sr. Process Engineer specialized in ultra-pure water systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role involves overseeing engineering design and construction, ensuring compliance with specifications, and requires advanced knowledge in process engineering. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering and substantial experience in large projects.
Sr. Process Engineer (Ultra-Pure Water)
Completes a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses to ultra-pure water systems in a semi-conductor manufacturing environment. The Engineer at this level is a fully qualified professional, proficient in the utilization of most engineering theories and practices. Some assignments involve CAE (computer aided engineering)/CAD (computer aided design) applications.
Specific Responsibilities
Engineering support and oversight of design, construction, and commissioning of ultra-pure water systems including:
• Review of Design drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy
• Review of equipment configuration and distribution routing of systems in NavisWorks 3D model relative to functionality, egress, ease of maintenance requirements, constructability, alignment with P&ID's, etc.
• Validation of engineering calculations
• Review and approval of equipment and component submittals in coordination with O&M staff
• May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on process engineering related matters.
• Review and validation of construction RFI responses
• Review and approval of shop drawings and construction models
• Field engineering QA during construction
• Commissioning support
• Entry of system information into a capacity planning software

• Advanced knowledge of process engineering theories and practices
• Effective analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to perform complex engineering tasks efficiently and accurately
• Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team of engineers and designers. Takes ownership and drives success of designated areas of responsibility
• Good organizational and communication skills. Expresses ideas concisely and clearly in English, both orally and in writing.
• Accepts responsibility for own actions and honors commitments.
• Proficient in using office personal computers, office networks, the Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), AutoCAD (or CAD file reader) and/or Revit, BioWIN, PipeFlo, and Visual Hydraulics software.
• Ability to travel for business or relocate to supplier, client, or construction site location.
Education and Typical Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering (or related field)
• 8+ years of related work experience
• Engineers in Training-EIT Certification is preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred
• Ultra-Pure Water system design experience
• Large Project greenfield design/construction experience
• Semiconductor experience preferred
