Position Brand Description:

The Lilly API/Dry Product Network is expanding rapidly, with several new greenfield sites under construction to meet increasing demand. These sites are staffed for steady state production, but additional surge capacity is necessary for start-up phases to ramp up quickly to full capacity.

The ADN RAMP (Rapid Access to Medicines for Patients) team is a cross-functional group bringing deep manufacturing expertise. It supports site start-up through operational excellence, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and surge capacity resources. This role offers the opportunity to work at new sites, expand the Lilly network, develop technical and leadership skills, and contribute to accelerating Lilly’s mission to serve more patients.

Success involves supporting site start-up through technical execution, coaching new employees, and fostering collaboration to develop local technical and operational teams for full operation.

The team reports to their respective functions but is coordinated by the Ramp Team Sr. Director.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:
  1. Provide process engineering support focusing on safe, first-time-right delivery and on-time facility start-up, applying process engineering fundamentals.
  2. Partner with site engineering teams on operational readiness, C&Q support, process support, document reviews, deviation investigations, and change controls.
  3. Coach and develop local technical teams to support operational excellence and technical skills.
  4. Use root cause analysis to investigate process and equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
  5. Monitor and document equipment performance to maintain qualification status.
  6. Maintain safety standards for process equipment.
Basic Requirements:
  1. BS in Engineering with at least 3 years of process team experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, preferably API/Dry Products.
  2. Strong technical interest and understanding of manufacturing operational excellence principles.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
  1. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  2. Ability to coach others and influence without authority.
  3. Ability to simplify complex issues and build trust with peers and leaders.
  4. Willingness to work off-shift hours as needed.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Collaborative approach with operations and automation teams.

The team will support multiple sites across the US and internationally, requiring travel and flexibility. Lilly is committed to diversity and inclusion, providing accommodations upon request. Compensation varies based on experience and location, with a range of $64,500 - $167,200, plus benefits and potential bonuses.
