Dexcom Inc. in San Diego is seeking a Sr Process Engineer to drive process improvements for assembly products, ensure quality and manufacturability, and lead data-driven investigations.
You will collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to improve process capability and product quality, and support scale-up, change control, and NPI initiatives. The role requires a strong background in DMAIC/DOE/SPC, with hands-on experience in process validation and complex problem solving.
Join our dynamic manufacturing engineering team at the San Diego Innovation Center of Excellence, where we lead development, scale up, and transfer of products, manufacturing processes, and equipment into operations, with a primary focus on advancing Dexcom Sensor technology. Responsibilities include providing day‑to‑day technical support for pilot plant processes and products at our San Diego site, evaluating new product and process introductions for manufacturing readiness and scalability, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational KPIs and business objectives. The Sr Process Engineer will possess a deep theoretical knowledge base combined with strong independent thinking skills. You should excel in translating theoretical concepts into practical solutions, particularly when tackling complex problems. You will lead investigations and data analysis efforts to drive optimal solutions within a matrixed organizational structure.
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Master’s degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience.
