Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to drive manufacturing excellence for cable production. You will act as the technical backbone, linking process innovation, quality, and cost efficiency while serving as the go-to cable technology expert across the company.

You will partner with operations, R&D, sales, and marketing to keep products and processes ahead of the industry curve, leading development and transfer to full production with a hands-on, results-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 6+ years of wire and cable process/design experience.
• Strong project management and ability to juggle multiple initiatives.
• Hands-on, problem-solving mindset and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new cable products along with the manufacturing processes that bring them to life.
• Lead the transfer of new technologies and processes from concept into full production.
• Partner with plant operations to troubleshoot process issues and build effective corrective action plans.
• Manage development and process-improvement projects from kickoff to completion, using structured project management practices.
• Provide technical support to marketing and sales — including samples, data sheets, technical reports, and presentations for customers and prospects.
• Train production teams on new technologies, equipment, and industry best practices.
• Research and evaluate new materials, cable designs, and process technologies to keep the company at the forefront of innovation.
• Continuously refine existing products and processes to improve quality, throughput, and cost.
• Evaluate, select, and procure materials, tooling, and equipment for manufacturing and testing.
• Document manufacturing processes and maintain thorough technical records.
• Benchmark and analyze competitor products to inform our product strategy.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on Datacom cable design, application, testing, and processing — supporting teams company-wide

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical field)
• 6+ years of relevant experience, ideally including hands-on wire and cable process and/or design work
• Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple initiatives simultaneously
• A hands-on, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time; occasional evenings/weekends as project demands require
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs periodically
• Travel: Occasional travel may be required
