Sr. Principal Systems Engineer – RF Signal Processing

Location: Tucson, AZ. This onsite role requires a U.S. citizen with an active Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance. Salary range: 132,400-251,600 USD.

What You Will Do

• Serve as a recognized signal‑processing subject‑matter expert, technical or functional leader responsible for the budget, schedule, development, execution, and completion of complex program objectives.
• Modify simulations and use them in the design, development, prototyping, integration, testing, and performance assessment of RF algorithms and models.
• Participate in production, engineering lab, and field‑test environments to test, verify, and validate RF models and signal‑processing algorithms against requirements.
• Collaborate in all development phases from program start‑up to live‑fire testing, improving processes and providing signal‑processing expertise in design reviews, peer reviews, and technical briefings to internal and external customers.
• Oversee a technical team, mentor engineers, and/or manage an engineering project.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in RF signal‑processing, programming in C or object‑oriented languages (C++, C#, Java), algorithm design, implementation, analysis, testing, and optimization.
• Experience managing or leading others in a technical/functional capacity within an engineering environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Interim Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance before start date.
• Preferred: Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or Applied Mathematics.
• Preferred: Missile‑systems application experience supporting customer programs.
• Preferred: Version‑control tool experience (Azure DevOps, Git).
• Preferred: Subject‑matter expertise in RF algorithms such as adaptive processing, beamforming, angle estimation, SAR, waveform design, tracking, feature extraction, classification/recognition.
• Preferred: Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for data‑set analysis.
• Preferred: Hardware/software integration experience and ability to interface with adjacent disciplines (Guidance, Navigation, Control, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Hardware).
