As a Sr. Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist located in Baltimore, MD, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position will serve as a Control Account Manager for the SABR Operating Unit Product Line.

The Supply Chain Planning Specialist's responsibilities will encompass:

  • Define and develop material strategy, assess supply resources, aggregate and prioritize demand requirements, plan inventory, distribution requirements, production, material, and rough-cut capacity for all products.
  • Participate in make/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning, product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management, and product-line management.
  • Analyze and aggregate supply/demand requirements, utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools, and plan inventory levels based on Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements.
  • Assess rough-cut capacity for manufacturing requirements, create/reduce supply requirements based on inventory adjustments, and participate in long-term capacity planning.
  • Interface with Source process regarding inventory levels, working capital, and other areas as needed.
  • Create and review requisitions, analyze lead times, and identify critical path procurements.

Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist (SCPS) 4:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business, or related field OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience; consideration for 14+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in a Financial background.
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.
  • Experience with SAP (MES) or related systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or Financial Planning.
  • Active Secret or Interim clearance.
  • Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools.
  • Experience with Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR, DOS licenses, FAR, and DFARS.
  • Experience with second sourcing, redesigns, and supplier qualifications.
  • Experience with proposal work.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management, Forecasting, and Variance Analysis.

Salary Range: $108,400.00 - $162,600.00

The salary range is a guideline; actual offers consider factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, and long-term incentives. Northrop Grumman offers benefits including health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plans, paid holidays, and PTO.
