Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Sr. Principal Subsystems Engineer to lead an Integrated Product Team for missile guidance electronics subsystems. You will guide architecture, requirements, integration and test, while mentoring engineers across disciplines.

The role requires a strong background in hardware development, systems engineering and MBSE, with travel and collaboration across customers and suppliers. DoD security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 10+ years of relevant experience in electrical hardware, subsystems, systems engineering, requirements development or validation.
• Master’s or PhD may substitute for experience (Master’s = 2 years, PhD = 4 years).
• Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance required; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team through product development lifecycle and mentor team members.
• Guide architecture, requirements, integration, and test of missile guidance electronics subsystems.
• Partner with customers and suppliers; support multiple programs; travel as needed.
• Mentor and be mentored in a culture of continuous improvement.
