Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Sr. Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst to join our team in Palmdale, CA, with possible locations in El Segundo or San Diego and up to 50% travel.

The role emphasizes developing and coordinating the integrated master schedule (IMS), ensuring cross-functional integration across finance, engineering and manufacturing, and applying Earned Value Management to monitor performance. A Secret clearance is required for start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in program planning/scheduling or Master’s with 6 years
• Active Government Secret clearance or higher
• Ability to obtain Program Access
• Demonstrated experience with MS Project and IMS
• Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices
• Preferred: SAP and COBRA experience

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Sr. Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analysts (Level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will work on-site daily in Palmdale, CA and require up to 25% travel or be located in El Segundo, CA or San Diego, CA and require up to 50% travel.

Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives
• Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality
• Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts
• Uses Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry-related fields OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry-related fields OR 12 years of applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Must have an active Government Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• Demonstrated experience in MS Project including, but not limited to, the detail development of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
• Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in material cost management
• Strong proficiency with EVM
• Experience with SAP and/or COBRA

Primary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

• Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
• Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
• Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
