Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst (level 4) to be located on-site in Melbourne, FL. The role focuses on developing and coordinating the integrated master plan and schedule to support major programs with cross-functional coordination across finance, engineering, and manufacturing.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s with extensive experience or a Master’s with substantial experience in program planning and scheduling, and must hold an active

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of program planning/scheduling experience or Master’s with 6 years; 12 years may substitute for a degree.
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance or higher (background investigation within 6 years or Continuous Evaluation).
• Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access as required by the company.
• Demonstrated experience with MS Project, IMS development, and earned value management.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and schedule to meet program objectives.
• Ensures schedules are integrated across finance, engineering, manufacturing and quality.
• Tracks plans, performs risk analysis, and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts.
• Uses Gantt, PERT, milestone charts and EVM to gauge progress and identify variances.

Position

Senior Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst (level 4) located on‑site in Melbourne, FL.

Note

Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives
• Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality
• Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts
• Uses Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry‑related fields OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in program planning, scheduling, and/or industry‑related fields OR 12 years of applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Must have an active U.S. Government Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• Demonstrated experience in MS Project including, but not limited to, the detail development of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
• Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in material cost management
• Experience with SAP and MPM &/or COBRA

Salary Range

Primary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 – $167,500.00
