Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst, on‑site in Melbourne, FL, with a Secret clearance. You will develop the integrated master plan and IMS, coordinate across departments, and monitor schedule performance using EVM techniques.

The role requires a degree with 5+ years (or a Master’s with 3+ years), DoD clearance, and strong MS Project/IMS skills. Travel up to 10% is possible; relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience or Master's with 3 years.
  • Must have active DoD Secret clearance or higher with BI within 6 years or CE.
  • Ability to obtain Program Access within a reasonable period.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Project and IMS development experience.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and coordinate the integrated master plan and schedule to meet program objectives.
  • Ensure schedules are integrated across finance, engineering, manufacturing and quality.
  • Track progress, perform risk analysis, and resolve critical path conflicts.
  • Use Gantt, PERT, milestones, and EVM to gauge progress and identify variances.
  • Focus interventions on critical areas to keep programs on track.

Position

Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst (level 3) or Senior Principal Program Planning Scheduling Analyst (level 4), located on‑site in Melbourne, FL.

Travel

On occasion, 10% of travel time.

Essential Functions
  • Prepares, develops and coordinates the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives
  • Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality
  • Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts
  • Uses Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas
Basic Qualifications for Level 3
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in business administration, finance, accounting, financial analysis, and/or industry related fields OR Master's degree with 3 years of experience in business administration, finance, accounting, financial analysis, or industry related fields
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period
  • Must have intermediate to advanced skills in MS Project and the development of an IMS
  • Must have experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices and the ability to support implementation on programs

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in business administration, finance, accounting, financial analysis, and/or industry related fields OR Master's degree with 6 years of experience in business administration, finance, accounting, financial analysis, or industry related fields
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Program Access within a reasonable period
  • Must have intermediate to advanced skills in MS Project and the development of an IMS
  • Must have experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) practices and the ability to support implementation on programs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in material cost management
  • Experience with SAP, MPM, and/or COBRA

Compensation & Compensation Details

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 – $134,200.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 – $167,500.00

Salary ranges are a general guideline and may vary based on scope of responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, annual bonuses, and long‑term incentives.
