Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as Senior Principal Military Trainer at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The Sr. Principal Military Trainer will collect and manage data pertaining to military warfighting function (WfF) procedures, decisions, and orders during computer-assisted military training exercises for Army Brigades, Divisions, Corps, Army Service Component Command (ASCC), Joint Task Force (JTF), and Joint Force Land Component Command (JFLCC). This role involves close collaboration with military WfF Chiefs and Senior Control during a Warfighter exercise (WFX) and participation in pre-exercise planning by engaging in both Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and Army Exercise Life Cycle (ELC) events.
Duty and Responsibilities:
Train military personnel on the Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM) and Maneuver WfF specific simulation processes and procedures.
Provide simulation status and functional recommendations to the MCTP Simulation Specialists and MCTP leadership.
Monitor simulations during Warfighter Exercises (WFXs), assisting in troubleshooting and analysis.
Assist Work cell Instructor/Controller (WIC) training.
Research and analyze simulation behaviors and issues, recommending solutions to the CIO/Simulation Specialists.
Assist with resolving conflicts between simulation output, training audience expectations, and Army Doctrine.
Serve as a WfF SME for the development of the simulation Rules and Workarounds book.
Support new model concept development as directed by MCTP.
Provide training and certification for Senior Control personnel.
Provide War Fighter Exercise (WFX) expertise, analysis, development, and delivery.
Ensure Quality Control in Work cell Instructor-Controller (WIC) training and mentoring.
Assist with Problem Trouble Report (PTR) management.
Attend weekly Exercise Working Group and Planning Team meetings for respective exercises.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
Field Officer (04 or higher), Warrant Officer 4/5, or SGM (E9).
Minimum Military Education Level (MEL) 4 CGSC/WOILE/SGM Academy or Equivalent.
Proficient in current U.S. Army military decision making and synchronization processes.
Proficient with MS Office suite of software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access).
Familiarity with current Army and Joint Doctrine.
Ability to work on-site at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
Ability to travel worldwide as needed (up to 25% of the time).
Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Leadership experience in the Army CTC program, preferably MCTP.
Master's Degree with 6 years of experience.
Mastery of current Army and Joint doctrine.
Must possess active DoD Secret Clearance.
Experience as a Work cell Instructor/Controller and Senior Controller.
Salary Range: $89,600 - $133,700
