Job description

• Seeking experienced professional in post-silicon validation and pre-silicon emulation of digital SOCs. Solid experience in validation of complex MCUs and MPUs.
• Detailed understanding of post-silicon flows of digital and analog validation along with PE/TE. Experience driving multiple post-silicon projects across functional and characterization areas to build a strong validation strategy.
• Strong understanding of system-level validation to build a robust validation strategy involving hardware, software, firmware, and external components/equipment.
• Solid understanding of key peripherals: 10G/25G/40G/100G Ethernet, DDR/LPDDR 5x/5/4x/4, high-speed SERDES, PCIe Gen 4/3, USB, CAN-XL, SPI, I2C, UART, TIMERS, etc., and validation/characterization aspects.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and across sites to define comprehensive silicon validation strategies across all post-silicon functions.
• Drive hardware/software infrastructure to deploy scalable silicon validation plans. Automation-focused and capable of implementing AI/ML to drive efficiency in validation to reduce cycle time, efforts, improve coverage, and mindset of zero escape to customers.
• Good knowledge of microcontroller architecture and instruction set. Strong experience in C programming language and assembly language.
• Good influencer and strategic decision-maker for the team, continuously driving innovative ideas into achievable goals. Effective communicator with the ability to work with executives efficiently and fit well in a matrix organization structure.
• Create project plans, resource planning, and equipment planning. Manage project execution as per plan, risk mitigation plan, manage dependencies, and report status. Demonstrates critical thinking, leads the team in debug, and works with cross-functional teams to do root cause analysis.

Responsibilities:

• You will focus on carrying out post-silicon validation for different IP blocks on leading-edge process technology at IP/SOC level. Skilled use of standard lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other measurement instruments.
• Interface with and support design, verification, applications, product and test engineering, marketing, and other design organizations.
• Develop validation requirements and validation test plans for both peripherals and full chip SOC operation based on reference manual and design requirements. Validate and debug silicon in support of product release.
• Develop and improve automated validation setups and scripts. Bring up validation test boards, setups, and independently collect data and debug issues. Extensive experience in post-silicon validation, able to automate the validation process to reduce the overall validation cycle time.

Qualifications:

• Requires at least 10+ years of related progressive experience.
• BSEE required, MSEE preferred.
