Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced support specialist to drive the implementation and deployment of engineering software tools across multiple programs in a secure environment.

You will manage installations, configurations, and user support while coordinating with DT teams in a virtual setting and ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience supporting tools for engineering disciplines (Software, System, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) such as DevOPS Tools, Matlab, DOORs, Cameo, Creo, Vivado, Ansys, LabVIEW.
• Experience troubleshooting and solving complex engineering tool problems in Windows, Unix, and/or Linux environments.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

This is a role in the Support Services team as part of the Programs & Infrastructure directorate of Raytheon Digital Technology. The team supports a variety of Engineering Tools (Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, and Software) used in Unclassified and Classified Environments.

This person will be a key team member helping the organization deliver service excellence around the following activities: interfacing with program personnel and programs’ engineering and DT teams; coordinating resources to provide appropriate tool related services; helping users on programs effectively use tools; troubleshooting tool related problems; and tailoring tools to specific program needs. The ideal candidate has a passion for the challenge of learning new engineering tools and technologies.

• Experience supporting tools for engineering disciplines (Software, System, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) such as (but not limited to) DevOPS Tools (Atlassian Suite, Jenkins, Coverity, Artifactory), Matlab, DOORs, Cameo, Creo, Vivado, Ansys, LabView)
• Experience troubleshooting and solving complex engineering tool problems in a Windows, Unix, and/or Linux environment
• Experience applying principles and processes of software development

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Understanding and implementation experience with AGILE software principles and/or SAFE
• System administration experience in Windows and/or Linux based system
• Experience deploying containers with Docker and Podman, and securing systems using CA Certificates and LDAPS
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interface with senior engineering leaders and program management personnel
• Strong ability to interact productively with end users, analysts, and customers in a dynamic team setting, and work in virtual environment where team members are not co-located

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
