Job description

We are looking for an expert in DevOps Infrastructure to ensure critical servers are up and running 24x7 without interruption.

This position is to help meet the DevOps needs of Fortinet's rapidly growing workforce. With about 14,000 people worldwide and the implementation of R&D CM systems, an expert in DevOps Infrastructure is needed to ensure servers, storage, redundancy, firewalls, VM Hypervisors are properly designed, implemented, and operated. This role will be responsible for improving DevOps infrastructure to meet new business or technological requirements. You will be based at our Sunnyvale Headquarters and work with the team to support DevOps infrastructure including VMware ESXi, Openstack, Linux, Gitlab, and FortiGate, among others. This is an excellent opportunity to join a network security company and utilize the latest systems and equipment to support our network availability.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Hands-on delivery of new DevOps infrastructure implementations to meet demands
2. Responsible for overall infrastructure maintenance and support
3. Design and implement Hypervisors (ESXi and Openstack), including HA Cluster, DR, and security
4. Set up Linux systems, perform performance tuning, updates, patches, and security hardening
5. Manage patches and security updates for servers, software, and storage
6. Monitor infrastructure health and security systems

Job Skills and Requirements:

• 10+ years in similar infrastructure roles at an admin or support level
• Comprehensive understanding of system hardware and infrastructure, familiar with enterprise servers from various vendors
• Expertise in VMware ESXi/vCenter; VCP certification preferred
• Expertise in Linux operation and maintenance; RHCE certification preferred
• Proficiency in Linux scripting
• Strong experience with Openstack
• Troubleshooting system problems
• Knowledge of storage management (SAN/NAS), RAID configurations, and backup solutions is a plus
• Experience with operating systems like Windows, Linux, iOS; hands-on with L2/L3 switching, Arista switches, Fortigate firewalls is a plus
• Experience in Python programming
• Experience with Gitlab CI/CD, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Terraform, and Ansible is a plus
• Support experience in 24x7 enterprise environments
• Strong multi-tasking and working under pressure skills
• Excellent English communication skills

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• Master's degree preferred
