Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Sr Principal Cyber Systems Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD to implement cyber survivability requirements across weapon system designs. You will guide security architecture, perform risk analyses, and support verification and governance within an Agile DevSecOps environment.

The role requires active Top Secret clearance, DoD 8570/ ANI standards familiarity, and collaboration with cross-functional teams on Sentinel program cybersecurity tasks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 8+ years with BS, or 6+ with MS, or 4+ with PhD in cyber systems engineering or related field.
  • Experience with RMF assessment artifacts, DoD security standards, and system life cycle processes.
  • Ability to work in an Agile/DevSecOps environment and collaborate across teams.

As a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer (CSSE) supporting the Sentinel program. Places of performance for the Sentinel Program include Annapolis Junction MD, Roy UT, San Antonio TX, Redondo Beach CA, Huntsville AL, San Diego CA, and Colorado Springs CO.What You'll Get to Do:A Cybersecurity Systems Engineer (CSSE) will implement weapon system requirements to ensure cyber survivability attributes are implemented in system designs as it assesses/evaluates the customers’/stakeholders’ cybersecurity requirements to decompose, derive, and refine the system’s cybersecurity requirements at all levels to drive the built-in cybersecurity protections to the architecture and design. The CSSE also guides/supports the security layout / architecture and influences the security tools selection and development. The CSSE evaluates/assesses the proposed and realized implementations to identify security risks, attack surface, and verify the cybersecurity protections from the design are realized and integrated. The CSSE guides/supports the development of verification efforts to ensure the cybersecurity protections / capabilities are functional, effective, and complete.
