The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a Senior Principal Computer Systems / Principal Computer Systems Analyst to support information system lifecycle activities. The selected candidate will work on‑site, full‑time at our Roy, Utah location.

Responsibilities
  • Perform as a Senior Principal Computer Systems Analyst in support of classified government contracts.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal or external customers, in written and oral format.
  • Establish and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction according to defined objectives while adhering to established policies.
  • Report task statuses for all recurring and non‑recurring efforts in written and oral format.
  • Oversee and lead reliable operations of multi‑user computer systems, collaborating with system engineers, PC desktop technicians, networking engineers, project managers, end users, and IT/Cyber management.
  • Analyze and make recommendations to internal or external customer requirements, determining equipment and software requirements for solutions.
  • Recommend and implement system enhancements, including automation, to improve system performance – installations, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
  • Ensure compliant and reliable backup and recovery services; manage file systems and disk space; manage routine virus protection.
  • Test and oversee new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
  • Lead the development and documentation of technical processes and procedures.
  • Interact with vendors, evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions.
  • Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines and report security‑relevant statuses accordingly.
  • Ensure accurate security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
  • Work across disciplines to isolate issues among software, firmware, hardware, operating systems, networks, and applications.
  • Mentor junior professionals to grow and develop technical talent.
  • Lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Work after hours and weekends as needed.
  • Note: Due to the classified nature of the work, no virtual or telecommute options are offered; applicants must be willing to work on‑site.
Basic Qualifications
  • Level 3: Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience;
  • Level 3: Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience;
  • Level 3: Associate’s Degree with 7 years of experience;
  • Level 3: High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 9 years of experience.
  • Level 4: Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience;
  • Level 4: Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of experience;
  • Level 4: Associate’s Degree with 10 years of experience;
  • Level 4: High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 12 years of experience.
  • Experience designing and maintaining Windows domain architectures, including Active Directory, GPOs, policies, and permissions in a classified environment.
  • Meet U.S. Government 8140 requirements for a Cybersecurity (722) (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP).
  • Hold a current U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance (minimum) with a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years, or be enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs as a condition of continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Security+ CE certification.
  • Experience with Windows Server Administration: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and other services.
  • Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3–ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments.
  • Experience with networking, including subnets, routing, VLANs, and VTCs; Cisco experience and/or certification.
  • Experience in the creation, maintenance, and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware in a networked environment.
  • Experience in virtualized environments.
  • Deploy and maintain backup solutions (e.g., Cohesity, Vertias) and SAN storage systems.
  • Experience with environmental monitoring tools (HBSS, Solar Winds, Splunk).
  • Experience in scripting and automation.
  • Cross‑platform operating system awareness (Windows, Linux, Solaris, macOS, UNIX, etc.).
  • Experience with Assessment & Authorization processes (CIDO).
Salary and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400 – $134,200. Secondary Level Salary Range: $111,700 – $167,500. Salary offers consider factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses. Bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Benefits include health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays, and paid time off.
