At Northrop Grumman, our employees have incredible opportunities to work on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives around the world today, and for generations to come. We look for people who have bold new ideas, courage, and a pioneering spirit to join forces to invent the future, and have fun along the way. Our culture thrives on intellectual curiosity, cognitive diversity, and bringing your whole self to work.

Today’s dynamic global security threats require solutions both big and small – solutions living within the Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC). For more than 70 years, we have been offering a wide range of trusted foundry and semiconductor services that deliver high performing and reliable microelectronics.

One of our most challenging new fields is Microelectronics Design and Applications (MDA), which combines the unique properties of superconductivity and quantum mechanics to develop radical new energy-efficient computing systems. MDA is seeking a Sr. Principal Change Management Lead Engineer to join our team and develop these technologies into high-performance computing systems. You’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to establish business processes, best practices, and QMS components for managing changes in a new superconducting electronics manufacturing line.

  • Create procedures and best practices for implementing controlled changes for various components within a new Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) system.

  • Implement and lead a standardized change control board to communicate and validate planned changes with stakeholders.

  • Lead projects aimed at optimizing and standardizing MES system setup and change implementation.

  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to implement training and certifications for new business processes.

  • Create and maintain a schedule for implementing various QMS components.

  • Work collaboratively with other engineering teams to understand the needs for change control.

This position requires full-time work onsite at our Linthicum, MD OR Annapolis Junction, MD location.

Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Change Management Lead Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 6 years of experience, or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 3 years of experience.

  • Able to support execution of Statement of Work (SOW) components with vendors and work cross-team.

  • Experience with modern automated factory systems in a semiconductor or microelectronics fab.

  • Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate meetings.

  • Limited travel to local Northrop Grumman facilities may be required.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with poly clearance per business requirements.

  • This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Qualifications for Sr. Principal Change Management Lead Engineer:

  • Active TS/SCI with poly security clearance.

  • Experience with starting up a modern automated or semi-automated new semiconductor manufacturing line.

  • Experience with implementing new change management procedures.

  • Experienced with implementing new Quality Management System (QMS) components.

  • Deep understanding of how MES integrates with broader systems in a Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) architecture.

  • Has worked with Applied Materials SmartFactory CIM solution.

Salary Range: $127,000 - $199,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce. We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
