Job summary

Holland Construction Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager to provide leadership for the collaborative preconstruction process.

You will proactively identify and resolve complex scopes of work and budgets while maintaining strong relationships with trade partners, clients, and project teams. This role focuses on delivering accurate costs, constructability and scheduling information to clients and the HCS team, creating budgets, bids and presentation materials for various

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• 8–10 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Experience leading preconstruction and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preconstruction process, provide accurate costs and scheduling.
• Build relationships with design partners and trade partners.
• Interface with clients to capture needs in budgets and docs.
• Deliver competitive bids, negotiated proposals and cost opinions.
• Prepare estimate deliverables and presentation books.

The Sr. Preconstruction Manager provides overall direction and leadership for the collaborative preconstruction process and deliverable. Proactively identifies and resolves complex scopes of work and budgets. Maintains and builds positive working relationships with trade partners, clients, and project teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Proactively leads, communicates, and coordinates the preconstruction process to provide accurate costs, constructability, and scheduling information to the client and HCS Team.
• Builds relationships with key design partners, trade partners, project developers, owners, and architects.
• Interfaces with the client to understand their needs and incorporate those needs in all budgets and related documentation.
• Able to deliver competitive bids, negotiated proposals and budgetary cost opinions.
• Creates conceptual budgets. Past experience with Industrial, Manufacturing, Warehousing and Distribution is highly recommended.
• Prepares estimate deliverables and presentation books for clients during various states of the preconstruction process.
• Reviews and assigns scope packages to team members on pre-construction efforts
• Contributes to the assembly and maintenance of project cost history records.
• Follows up on due diligence issues including permits, financing, and regulatory approvals.
• Assists with development and implementation of department policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related degree and 8-10 years of experience OR equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
