The Brand Marketing Director will lead the strategic development and execution of integrated brand marketing, PR, and activation initiatives that elevate our contemporary fashion brand’s visibility, desirability, and cultural relevance. This role is instrumental in shaping the brand’s narrative, building emotional resonance with our audience, and driving growth through storytelling, innovation, and strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of fashion, pop culture, and media, who can seamlessly blend brand strategy with creative execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Brand Strategy & Positioning
- Own and evolve the brand’s identity and positioning across all consumer touchpoints.
- Define and implement brand campaigns that authentically communicate our values and aesthetic.
- Lead the development of seasonal and long-term brand narratives that resonate with our target audience and differentiate us in the market.
- Ensure brand consistency across digital, retail, product, and experiential channels.
Public Relations & Communications
- Develop and execute a modern PR strategy that drives earned media, editorials, and brand storytelling.
- Cultivate strong relationships with fashion editors, stylists, influencers, celebrities, and media across print, digital, and broadcast platforms.
- Oversee press outreach, media placements, lookbooks, press previews, and fashion-related events.
Brand Activations & Experiences
- Conceptualize and lead immersive brand experiences—from pop-ups and store openings to influencer events and fashion presentations.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to bring activations to life with innovation and cultural impact.
- Partner with product, digital, and retail teams to integrate storytelling into the customer journey.
- Monitor activation performance and continuously optimize for brand engagement and ROI.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with executive leadership, design, merchandising, digital, and retail teams to align brand initiatives with business objectives.
- Serve as a brand guardian, inspiring teams and ensuring alignment on tone, voice, and visual identity.
Performance & Reporting
- Define KPIs for brand and PR performance across awareness, engagement, and media impact.
- Deliver clear reporting and insights to leadership, with strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications
- 7+ years of experience in brand marketing and public relations within fashion, luxury, or lifestyle sectors.
- Proven leadership in crafting and executing successful brand campaigns and PR strategies.
- Deep understanding of the contemporary fashion landscape, consumer behavior, and cultural trends.
