The Sr. Power Electronics Design Engineer, Systems is responsible for creating reference designs for customer-specific Voltage Regulator (VR) systems, developing simulation models, application notes, test boards, datasheets, and expert tools. The role involves qualifying new products and systems, collaborating with key customers and industry leaders to define and architect industry-leading power conversion solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE preferred), with 5+ years of experience in Power Electronics Design, Product Development, or Applications Engineering. Candidates should have a strong understanding of analog design, feedback and control systems, and familiarity with modeling tools such as Simulink MATLAB, Altium, SPICE, Simplis, and Simetrix. Skills in troubleshooting, lab equipment, and communication are essential. Experience with Intel VR specifications and EMI, digital design, and CAD tools is a plus.
• 5+ years' experience in Power Electronics Design, Product Development, or Applications Engineering.
• Strong understanding of analog design and analytical engineering skills.
• Familiarity with feedback and control systems.
• Experience with modeling and design tools such as Simulink MATLAB, Altium, SPICE, Simplis, and Simetrix.
• Proficiency with lab equipment used in power supply characterization.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of technical presentations.
• Knowledge of EMI, digital microcontroller design, and CAD tools is advantageous.
