Job summary

Sunbit is seeking a Sr. Portfolio Data Analyst who will join the Business Data Analytics team. You will measure and monitor key financial drivers, own KPI monitoring, and keep leadership informed of risks affecting growth across products.

Responsibilities

• Own product monitoring spanning credit risk, payments, usage, etc.
• Check loan and credit card metrics (beginning/ending balances, transactions)
• Build dashboards for executive consumption comparing actuals to forecast
• Develop a forecasting/projections framework for portfolio metrics
• Prepare and present material for executives; support investor inquiries
• Perform ad-hoc RCA and remediation analyses with leaders across card, loan, finance
• Support portfolio covenant simulations for risk strategy changes
• Institutionalize portfolio forecasts and monitoring for the corporate model
• Collaborate with Capital Management, Risk, Finance, Core and Accounting for lender negotiations
• Coordinate with engineering and data governance to create reliable product tapes

The Role:

This role would be part of the Business Data Analytics team at Sunbit. In this position, you will work closely with the BU leaders, Risk, Finance, Core, and Accounting to help measure and monitor the company’s financial drivers overall. You would own the monitoring for key KPIs established by our business owners. Your goal is to keep the company’s leadership team informed about any potential risks to the overall growth and financial strategy for all products. You will directly support high-impact initiatives and help drive seamless operational execution. Your primary focuses are portfolio analytics, financial data accuracy, and back-office support for capital markets, FP&A, and accounting. Unlike a growth or strategic credit role, this position centers heavily on data integrity, roll-forward metrics, and system reconciliation.

What You'll Do:

• Own product monitoring that span across credit risk, payments, usage etc.
• Conduct rigorous checks and balances on loan and credit card performance metrics (beginning balance, transactions, ending balance).
• Build dashboards for executive consumption that measure actuals against the forecast
• Build a forecasting and projections framework for portfolio metrics
• Prepare & present material for executives; answer complex data inquiries from external investors/lenders and assist the investor team with scenario testing.
• Perform ad-hoc RCA and remediation analysis through partnership with the relevant leaders (card, loan, finance, etc)
• Support simulation of portfolio covenants for major risk strategy changes
• Institutionalize portfolio (card & loan) forecast and establish monitoring for the corporate model
• Collaborate with Capital Management, Risk, Finance, Core and Accounting and other business leaders to develop analysis and material for lender negotiations.
• Collaborate with engineering and data governance to establish reliable product tapes for joint partner utilization
• Support FP&A and Accounting by validating forecasts, explaining variance discrepancies (e.g., actual vs. expected interest income), and providing financial inputs.
• Reconcile General Ledger records with product tapes and trace payment flows from bank accounts down to discrete accounts.

What You'll Bring:

• 6+ years of relevant analytical experience with a bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of relevant analytical experience with a master’s degree in quantitative fields like (Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering etc.)
• Proficient in SQL and is excited about acquiring new technical skills
• Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
• Knowledge in Python, R or SAS
• Knowledge of BI tool: Tableau, Sigma, or similar
• Proficient in forecasting models like time series forecasting
• Experience in Credit Card, Loans or other financial services
