Job summary

Sunbit in Jersey City, NJ, is hiring a Senior Analyst, Strategic Finance to shape the financial strategy for Sunbit’s credit card and POS portfolios. You will translate complex data into clear insights for leadership, partnering with finance, product, and operations.

The role focuses on month-end reporting, forecasting, unit economics, credit performance, and KPI dashboards, requiring 3–5+ years in FP&A or related fields and strong modeling skills. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or private equity.
• Solid understanding of balance sheet lending and consumer credit dynamics.
• Strong financial modeling skills with large data sets.
• Ability to craft C-level narratives using Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to drive month-end reporting and forecasting with accurate insights for strategic decisions.
• Model and forecast for credit card and POS portfolios (revenue share, interchange, CECL, interest income).
• Build and maintain LTV and CAC models and unit economics.
• Analyze credit performance: delinquency, net charge-offs, provisioning.
• Collaborate across customer care and other business units on expense planning.
• Support pricing decisions and scenario analyses; design KPI dashboards.

The Role

As a Senior Analyst, Strategic Finance, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy of Sunbit’s credit card and Point of Sales (POS) portfolios. You will sit at the intersection of finance, product, and operations—translating complex financial data into clear insights that drive decision-making at the leadership level.

What you’ll own

• Partner with business leaders to drive the month-end reporting and forecasting process, delivering accurate financial reports, variance analyses, and actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making
• Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes for the credit card business line, including revenue share, interchange fees, CECL allowance, and interest income.
• Unit Economics & LTV Modeling: Build and maintain sophisticated models to track Life-Time Value (LTV) and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and unit economics for credit card users.
• Credit Performance Analysis: Partner with relevant teams to monitor delinquency rates, net charge-offs (NCOs), and provisioning (CECL) to understand their impact on the bottom line.
• Business Partnership: Partner with leaders across the customer organization and support expense planning for the credit card business and customer care business units.
• Strategic Decision Support: Evaluate new initiatives, pricing changes, and expense decisions through scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• KPI Tracking: Design and automate dashboards to monitor key metrics.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or private equity.
• Solid understanding of balance sheet lending and consumer credit dynamics.
• Strong financial modeling skills and experience working with large data sets.
• Adept at crafting C-level narratives using Excel and PowerPoint, experience business intelligence tools is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to support complex cross-functional projects and influence the organization.

How We Pay

• We believe in paying fairly and equitably based on a number of factors including but not limited to previous experience, relevant work history, interview performance, geographical location, internal equity, and expected level of ownership.
• We are targeting a salary of $115,000 - $140,000 per year for this role
• This role will also be granted company equity via stock options
