Job Location and Facility Overview

The Cypress Bend facility, located in the Mississippi River Delta, produces bleached paperboard and Kraft pulp used in various packaging and printing products. It employs over 300 staff across 730 acres and is committed to manufacturing high-quality products for essential industries.

Situated in a rural community with access to outdoor activities and civic amenities, Cypress Bend offers a vibrant environment for outdoor enthusiasts and community engagement. The area is close to several educational institutions and cultural sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze work orders for cost, priority, and task details.
• Develop maintenance work packages, including scope, cost estimates, timelines, and safety considerations.
• Coordinate with maintenance leaders, staff, schedulers, and stores for clarity and resource availability.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Manage schedules with contractors and coordinate parts and materials procurement.

Record Keeping and Communication

• Maintain equipment history, including downtime and repair records.
• Update bills of materials and drawings for equipment.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans for new equipment.
• Participate in weekly planning meetings and communicate job statuses effectively.

Leadership and Competencies

• Supervise planning staff or contractors as needed.
• Demonstrate decision-making, customer focus, and problem-solving skills.
• Evaluate business opportunities with a focus on positive results.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• At least 2 years of practical experience in mechanical or electrical/instrumentation fields.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to read schematics and work instructions.
• Knowledge of JD Edwards, budgeting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to multitask in a high-speed manufacturing environment and adhere to safety protocols.
