Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; certification in Supply Chain/Operations is a plus.
  • 5+ years of planning and procurement experience with ERP exposure preferred.
  • 2+ years in a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) programs; ISO/GMP awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the purchase plan to ensure inventory supply through consumption analysis, reorder points and quantities.
  • Analyze inventory levels to prevent shortages or surpluses and recommend actions.
  • Liaise with internal customers to align priorities, commitments and recovery plans.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize planning processes and ERP system efficiency.
  • Identify areas for secondary sourcing plans and establish them.
  • Develop and maintain ERP planning parameters; act as site ERP Superuser.
  • Support new product development and transition to volume manufacturing.
  • Support engineering and product assurance with spec changes and improvements.
  • Serve as supply chain SME in cross-functional meetings.
  • Follow company policies and safety guidelines; perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Summary (Why this role matters)

The Senior Planner is responsible for transposing forecasts into SAP, owning MRP and ensuring inventory availability to support manufacturing. This individual will collaborate closely with procurement, manufacturing, engineering, quality, and R&D teams to address supply constraints, support capacity and S&OP discussions, and drive overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities (What you’ll do)

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field strongly preferred; Certification in Supply Chain/Operations preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in planning and procurement (preferably with ERP systems)
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) programs.
  • Familiarity with ISO and current GMP requirements
  • Effective listening, communication, collaboration, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent analytical, risk management, and decision-making capabilities
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and lead through complexity and competing priorities.
  • Self-motivated, innate sense of urgency, drive for completion of tasks and projects under minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
