Job summary

Emanate Health, located in West Covina, CA, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital‑based pharmacy team. Under pharmacist supervision, you will prepare, store and dispense medications, manage IV prep, support inventory control and assist in QA activities.

Ideal candidates have state board‑approved technician training, at least two years in a hospital setting, proficiency with pharmacy systems, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Training as per State Board of Pharmacy requirements for Pharmacy Technician.
• Minimum Experience: Two years as a pharmacy technician in a hospital environment.
• Knowledge of trade/generic drug names and aseptic technique for IV prep.
• Proficient in mathematics and computer order entry.
• Good understanding of pharmacy interfaces with hospital departments.

Must have good understanding of pharmacy systems, pharmacy's role in the hospital setting and the interface between pharmacy and other departments. Needs general understanding of pharmacy computer applications, same technical expertise in personal computers, and be able to use common reference material. Able to withstand stress of high activity area. Proficiency in English (verbal and written skills) in order to communicate effectively with co-workers, patients, and nursing/medical staff. Excellent customer service skills required.Minimum License Requirement:Pharmacy Technician License is required.
