Job summary

George Washington University Hospital (GW Hospital) seeks an experienced Senior Pharmacist to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care, supervise staff, and collaborate with physicians, nurses and other care teams. The role includes medication reconciliation, therapeutic drug monitoring and patient education.

The Senior Pharmacist may assume essential pharmacy leadership duties in the absence of directors, with opportunities for career development within UHS and its 300+ subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required.
• Pharm.D. preferred for advanced practice.
• Strong communication, confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

We are currently seeking an experienced:

Senior Pharmacist

who provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integration of drug distribution, patient monitoring, staff education and patient counseling and teaching activities. The Senior Pharmacist supervises and directs technical support staff. The Senior Pharmacist performs medication reconciliation, therapeutic drug monitoring, medication recommendations and patient education. These duties require direct collaboration with patients, physicians, nurses and other ancillary care givers. In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy or other supervisory staff, a Senior Pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the Director of Pharmacy.

Education Requirements
