Responsibilities:
- Work within specific authority levels to quote, accept, decline, modify, and renew risks in accordance with accepted underwriting guidelines. Collaborate with agents, PLMS, and other departments to grow and maintain a profitable book of business.
- Conduct profit and growth analysis for assigned agents and territories. Collaborate with agency analysts and personal lines marketing specialists to review agents' books of business and make recommendations for improvement or placement on APIP. Develop and follow up on APIP plans.
- Provide guidance to agents and other departments regarding underwriting information. Communicate underwriting decisions and appetite effectively. Ensure a positive and consistent service experience that meets or exceeds agent expectations.
- Review agency submissions to identify trends in quality. Determine necessary actions and communicate with the PL territory manager and team lead.
- Handle correspondence from agents and customers, responding to inquiries about coverage and policy adjustments within authority levels. Conduct outbound follow-up to close inquiries or transactions. Resolve issues related to authority or technical expertise.
- Apply knowledge of coverage forms, rating plans, and guidelines. Ensure proper risk pricing through accurate classification and adherence to underwriting standards.
- Recommend workflow, communication, and agency management improvements. Support the development of reports to enhance agency activities.
- Participate in agency visits as needed to support the Personal Lines Marketing Specialists.
- Maintain effective communication and service with agents via telephone and written correspondence.
- Attend meetings, contribute to discussions on rate changes, system enhancements, and agent reviews, and provide training for new hires.

- 3-5 years of personal lines underwriting experience preferred, especially with high-net worth accounts.
- Property & Casualty license required.

Pay Range: USD $72,000 - USD $109,000 per year.
