Job Description Field

As a Senior Product Development Program Manager, you will lead cross‑functional teams through all phases of product development, from concept and design through manufacturing readiness, product launch, and commercialization. This role is responsible for driving program execution, aligning stakeholders, managing risks, and ensuring delivery of strategic business and product objectives within the Neuromodulation portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead cross‑functional core teams to execute product development programs from concept through commercialization.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, budgets, and resource strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Drive alignment across Research and Development, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain functions.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, issues, and dependencies while ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
  • Provide leadership and direction through design, verification, validation, manufacturing process characterization, and production ramp activities.
  • Monitor program performance using established metrics and communicate status, risks, and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with Medtronic quality systems, design controls, and applicable regulatory requirements throughout program execution.
  • Support strategic portfolio planning and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development effectiveness and predictability.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience in program management, project management, product development, engineering, or a related medical device discipline; OR Advanced degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams through multiple phases of product development and commercialization.
  • Experience managing complex programs involving schedule, budget, resource planning, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive execution across multiple functional organizations.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within the medical device, biotechnology, healthcare technology, or regulated product development industry.
  • Experience leading New Product Development (NPD) programs from concept through commercial launch.
  • Knowledge of design controls, quality systems, and product development processes within a regulated environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent program management certification.
  • Experience supporting Neuromodulation, Neuroscience, implantable technologies, or other complex medical device portfolios.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$178,400.00 - $267,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
