Overview

Job Title: Sr. Payroll Specialist

Job Duration: 6+ Months

Location: 100% Remote

Responsibilities
  • Directly responsible for payroll processing (regular cycle, off-cycle, and regulatory requirements) in the US
  • Perform intake and timely resolution of payroll questions and service requests in Jira within SLA.
  • Work with the payroll vendor, as needed, on processing and issue remediation.
  • Compile data from various sources and validate accuracy, completeness and compliance. Perform audits of employee demographic data between payroll system and Workday.
  • Conduct root cause analysts to identify and resolve issues.
  • Verify wage calculations, deductions, and other remuneration for errors or inconsistencies.
  • Maintain clean process documentation, such as checklists and runbooks.
  • Collaborate with the People Ops Team and other cross functional teams to process employee changes in payroll and cross-check data for accuracy.
  • Learn and grasp new payroll and financial concepts quickly.
  • Communicate effectively with staff at various levels.
  • Pay attention to detail and maintain accuracy in all payroll-related tasks.
  • Utilize Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Docs for data management and reporting.
Required Skills
