Sr. Patient Access Rep - Centralized Scheduling

Schedule: Full-time and Part-time Days, Monday-Friday, Between 7am-7pm, 20 - 40 hrs weekly.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with patients, participants and staff to accurately schedule patients for prescribed procedures.
  • Perform clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration.
  • Gather necessary demographic, insurance and clinical information from patient and enter into appropriate database.
  • Seek appropriate resources to resolve issues about the type, date or location of prescribed procedures.
  • Schedule patient procedures efficiently, utilizing clinical resources and patient time.
  • Coordinate and communicate schedules.
  • Assist with insurance pre-certification/authorization activities.
  • Provide counseling to patients or their representatives regarding pre-service requirements and instructions.
Requirements

Education: High School diploma or equivalency OR 1 year of applicable job-specific experience.
Note: Professional licensure/certification can substitute for education or experience if applicable.

Additional Preferences
  • Experience scheduling patient appointments via phone and chat.
  • Experience handling high volume calls in healthcare.
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems remotely.
  • Experience with Athena, Epic, Dash, Salesforce.
  • Experience scheduling for multiple practices and working with more than one EHR.
  • Referral and prior authorization experience.
  • Internal associates must meet KPIs (Adherence 90+%, QA 90+%, manage AHT within department average) and be Tier 1 for 6+ months.
