Job summary

Leeds Professional Resources is seeking a Senior Paralegal / Office Manager to oversee daily legal operations while providing high-level paralegal support. The role balances complex litigation responsibilities with office management, client intake, and administrative leadership.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in a law firm and a background in personal injury, construction, or real estate law.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of paralegal experience in a law firm.
  • Experience in Personal Injury, Construction Law, Real Estate Law, or Commercial Litigation.
  • Strong litigation experience from case inception through trial.
  • Experience managing or assisting law firm office operations.
  • Experience working in a small to mid-sized law firm.
  • Excellent understanding of civil litigation procedures and court filing requirements.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation matters from case inception through trial preparation and resolution.
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, notices, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate discovery, including document production and organization.
  • Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, witness files, deposition summaries, and mediation materials.
  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
  • Maintain litigation calendars and ensure compliance with court deadlines.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, and vendors throughout the litigation process.
  • Review medical records, contracts, construction documents, real estate records, and other case-related materials.
  • Conduct legal research and assist attorneys with case strategy and trial preparation.

Our client, a growing boutique law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal / Office Manager to oversee daily legal operations while providing high-level paralegal support. This individual will serve as a key member of the firm, balancing complex litigation responsibilities with office management, client intake, and administrative leadership.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experiencein a law firm environment with a background in personal injury, construction law, and/or real estate law. Experience supporting litigation matters, managing office operations, and working in a small to mid-sized law firm is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Litigation & Paralegal Support
  • Manage litigation matters from case inception through trial preparation and resolution
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, notices, and correspondence
  • Coordinate and manage all phases of discovery, including document production and organization
  • Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, witness files, deposition summaries, and mediation materials
  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances
  • Maintain litigation calendars and ensure compliance with court deadlines
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, and vendors throughout the litigation process
  • Review medical records, contracts, construction documents, real estate records, and other case-related materials
  • Conduct legal research and assist attorneys with case strategy and trial preparation
Office Management
  • Oversee the daily operations of the law firm and ensure efficient workflow across the office
  • Supervise administrative staff and assist with training and onboarding
  • Manage office procedures, policies, and operational efficiencies
  • Coordinate vendor relationships, office supplies, and facility needs
  • Assist with budgeting, billing coordination, and vendor invoices
  • Maintain confidential client files and ensure compliance with firm policies
Client Intake & Case Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and existing clients
  • Conduct initial client intake interviews and gather relevant documentation
  • Evaluate new matters and coordinate attorney consultations
  • Open new files and maintain accurate case management recordsEnsure exceptional client communication throughout the life of each case
General Counsel / Business Support
  • Assist attorneys with contract review and preparation
  • Support matters involving corporate governance, construction contracts, and real estate transactions
  • Maintain legal documentation and corporate records
  • Coordinate with outside vendors, consultants, and experts as needed
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of paralegal experience in a law firm setting
  • Experience in Personal Injury, Construction Law, Real Estate Law, or Commercial Litigation
  • Strong litigation experience from case inception through trial
  • Previous experience managing or assisting with law firm office operations
  • Experience working in a small to mid-sized law firm
  • Excellent understanding of civil litigation procedures and court filing requirements
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of professionalism and discretion with confidential information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
