Cardinal Health is seeking a Sr. Paralegal to draft and redline agreements and related documents, under attorney supervision, across commercial matters within the Pharmaceutical Segment.

You will train on corporate policies and procedures and contribute to contract playbooks and AI-enabled processes. The role emphasizes independent work, handling high volumes, and collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of relevant experience in contract administration; healthcare strongly preferred.
• BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferred; Advanced degree preferred.
• Must be quick learner with excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel).
• Team player with ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with AI tools and concepts; willing to learn AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes contract requirements and provisions for compliance with laws and policies.
• Drafts contracts based on term sheets, financial models and approvals.
• Communicates contract policies to internal teams and ensures proper execution.
• Prepares routine correspondence and contract documentation for submission.
• Supports contract audit research as needed.
• Coordinates approvals during contract negotiation and closes contracts.

What Sr. Paralegal contributes to Cardinal Health

Legal provides the company with strategic, proactive, practical and cost-effective legal advice and services in order to protect the organization’s assets, operations and image. This function provides the company with strategic, proactive, practical and cost-effective advice and services in order to protect the organization’s assets, operations and image. This role supports a highly complex, fast-paced, and multi-faceted business unit within the Pharmaceutical Segment.

Sr. Paralegal redlines and prepares agreements, instruments, and documents, and pleadings relating to commercial matters and resolves legal questions under the supervision of the organization’s attorneys. Sr. Paralegal also conducts training on corporate policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, policies and company procedures
• Drafts contracts based on term sheets, financial models and approvals
• Communicates contract policies and practices to internal business teams. Ensures contract review, approval and execution are in accordance with standard contract requirements and contract guidelines
• Prepares and administers routine correspondence and contract documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal and execution
• May conduct research to support contract audit
• Coordinates approvals and responses during contract negotiationPerforms contract closeout activities including informing the appropriate stakeholders that the contract has been signed
• Reviews contracts upon renewal to determine if changes to financial terms, IT and operational requirements are needed
• Consults with Sales, Marketing, Operations and other relevant stakeholders to determine who will be responsible to communicate the changes internally and externally
• Drafts and negotiates a variety of healthcare documents and commercial agreements (Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure Agreements, Product Purchase Agreements, Distribution Services Agreements, other corporate documents, and related agreements)
• Reviews internal and external marketing materials
• Assists with ad hoc projects as needed, including document review and business process improvement
• Creates and maintains commercial contract playbooks on various platforms
• Creates and maintains commercial contract storage, organization and interaction within designated Artificial Intelligence platform

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of relevant experience in contract administration; healthcare strongly preferred
• BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferred. Advance Degree preferred

• Must be a quick learner and possess excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in MS Word and Excel
• Must be a team player with demonstrated history of successfully fostering relationships with cross-functional parties
• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence tools and concepts is preferred
• Must be willing to learn and become proficient with designated Artificial Intelligence platforms

Location

• Ability to drive into the Dublin, OH office for moments that matter preferred but not required

Anticipated salary range: $79,700 - $113,800
