Who we are looking for
We are looking for a strong hands on Lead Applications Developer to modernize applications and processes in Portfolio Exposures area at State Street Global Advisors. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Applications Architecture, Design and Development and be a technical subject matter expert. The candidate should be able to work with various cross functional teams globally.

As Lead Application Developer, VP you will:

• Architect, design, develop and support applications
• Co-ordinate with various cross functional teams globally including businesses, developers, testers, enterprise architects and infrastructure teams
• Provide technical subject matter expertise
• Lead and mentor junior developers in the team
• Work in Agile environment

These skills will help you succeed in this role

• Strong in Oracle PL/SQL and Database Design
• Strong in Java and Web development
• Experience with Python and Apache Spark
• Familiarity with Shell scripting and Job Scheduling knowledge is a plus
• Experience in Cloud Computing specifically AWS is a plus
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Development (CI/CD) stack
• Strong interest in working on new technologies and tools
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Financial services industry experience especially in asset management is a plus

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field is required
• Minimum 8+ years experience required in software development and maintenance
