Job summary

Insight Global in Utah is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to design, administer, secure, and optimize the organization’s database environment for high availability, performance, and reliability.

The position oversees database architecture, backup and disaster recovery, performance monitoring, and SLA/RPO/RTO compliance while collaborating with IT leadership, developers, and operations. The target pay is $60–$70/hr.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of DB experience.
• Strong experience supporting Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
• Extensive hands-on expertise with Oracle, DB2 UDB, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL.
• Advanced SQL development and performance tuning skills.
• Deep understanding of relational database architecture, design, and optimization.
• Proven experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Applicable Certifications

Day to Day:

One of Insight Global's clients is looking for a Sr DBA to come join there team this individual will be responsible for the design, administration, security, and optimization of the organization's database environment to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability. This role oversees database architecture, implements backup and disaster recovery strategies, monitors system performance, and ensures compliance with established SLAs, RPOs, and RTOs. They will work closely with IT leadership, developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders. This Individual will also deliver scalable database solutions, resolves complex technical issues, and supports upgrades, migrations, and automation initiatives. Additionally, they will establish best practices, mentor junior DBAs, maintains technical documentation, and drives continuous improvement through the evaluation and adoption of emerging database technologies. The target pay for this role is $60-$70hr
