• Collaborate with Oracle Engineers and service providers to maintain a resilient, high-performing, and highly available Oracle database environment.
• Install, upgrade, patch, and configure Oracle databases and related software in alignment with vendor best practices.
• Ensure timely delivery of database functionality in support of project milestones.
• Implement physical data models that comply with enterprise configuration standards.
• Administer Oracle Enterprise Manager software across database and application servers.
• Advise application development teams on best practices for Oracle database design and optimization.
• Conduct performance testing, tuning, user configuration, backup/recovery, statistics gathering, and partition administration.
• Evaluate and improve database security; implement approved security remediations.
• Coordinate system changes and downtime with application teams and system engineers.
• Manage support cases and technical issues with vendors and service providers.
• Adhere to established IT and DBA procedures and policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience managing Oracle databases and related technologies.
• Experience with Oracle versions 12.2 and newer, including Real Application Clusters (RAC).
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve database performance and reliability issues.
• Strong experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager in a high-availability, load-balanced configuration.
• Proficiency in Red Hat Linux OS (v6 and newer).
• Expertise in Oracle Data Guard configuration and management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with mid- to long-term deliverables.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining UNIX Korn or Bash shell scripts.
• Ability to provide technical guidance to development teams and junior DBAs.
• Excellent communication skills in high-pressure, cross-functional environments.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
