Job summary

HYR Global Source Inc. is seeking a Sr. Oracle DBA for our St. Louis, MO area. This W2 onsite role requires 6+ years of Oracle DBA experience, strong on‑prem administration, and experience with Oracle GoldenGate for real-time replication.

The ideal candidate will manage, monitor, and support mission-critical Oracle environments, with a growing cloud footprint (GCP/AWS) and collaboration across infra, application, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Oracle DBA experience.
• Recent on prem Oracle DBA experience.
• GoldenGate for real-time data replication.
• Cloud experience with GCP or AWS.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support mission-critical Oracle database environments across on-premises and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Perform day-to-day Oracle database administration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data replication and synchronization.
• Monitor database health, performance, availability, and capacity.
• Respond to database alerts and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
• Perform backup, recovery, database restoration, and disaster recovery activities.
• Manage database users, roles, privileges, profiles, and security configurations.
• Troubleshoot complex database performance and availability issues while minimizing downtime.
• Participate in incident bridges and business-critical support calls as a key technical resource.
• Triage, prioritize, and assign database-related incidents and support issues.
• Support database patching, upgrades, maintenance, and operational activities.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and engineering teams to resolve production issues.
• Provide technical support for cloud migration initiatives and hybrid Oracle environments.
