A defense technology company in the directed energy systems space is looking to hire a Sr. Opto-Mechanical Engineering Analyst. This individual will perform multiphysics finite element analysis on complex opto-mechanical components and systems supporting the development of high-energy laser technologies. They will collaborate with cross-functional engineers, scientists, and analysts to define requirements, evaluate designs, and optimize system performance, while working closely with design teams to convert CAD models into analyzable solutions and drive design improvements. The role also involves supporting structural, thermal, optical, fluid, vibration, and controls-related analyses, documenting work through project and configuration management tools, and contributing to the development of ruggedized, manufacturing-friendly systems. This is a Direct Hire opportunity located in Longmont, CO, requiring a 5 day/week onsite schedule. Compensation ranges from $175,000-$230,000 based on experience. Candidates must be eligible to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance, with preference given to those holding an active clearance.

Skills and Requirements

• Experience with STOP (Structural Thermal Optical Performance) and/or SWAP optimization
• Background in Directed Energy, Aerospace, Naval, or Land Systems industries and CFD, vibration/jitter, or controls analysis experience
