Job Description / Preferred Qualifications

Senior Opto-Mechanical Design Engineers are core to KLA's technology. While we do not currently have an opening, we are always building our Opto-Mechanical Engineering talent community and are interested in learning about your background. Apply to this posting for future opportunities with KLA.

  • Design, build, and prototype test the next-generation broadband plasma (BBP) wafer inspection opto-mechanical assemblies.
  • Collaborate with system, optical, electrical, and software engineers to derive subsystem requirements and conduct design reviews.
  • Lead a group of engineers for technical development, vendor management, schedule, and product cost management.
  • CAD Modeling: Cero experience preferred.
  • Track record of full life cycle high-precision (sub-micron level) mechanism development experience, including high accuracy alignment & adjustment design, design for repeatability & stability, tolerance analysis, and design for reliability and vibration.
  • Thermal management design: electronics thermal management, cooling flow simulation, and optimization.
  • CAE: thermal & structural simulation (ANSYS experience preferred).
  • Qualify and release the mechanism design, and provide support for onsite manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing during product ramp-up to support and troubleshoot product issues.
  • Full-time onsite work is required.
    Minimum Qualifications

    Doctorate (Academic) Degree with 5 years of related work experience; Master's Degree with 8 years; Bachelor's Degree with 12 years.

    Base Pay Range: $159,300 - $270,800.

    Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas.
