DCS Corp is seeking an Operations Research Analyst in support of the Air Force Research Laboratory. You will lead cross-functional teams to conduct analytical research and model complex systems, applying advanced analytics to future technologies.

This on-site role emphasizes mentorship and presenting results to senior leaders within a dynamic defense environment. The position requires a technical Bachelor's degree, 8–10 years of modeling/analysis experience, and an active Secret clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS, Engineering, Mathematics, Analytics or similar).
• 8–10 years of professional experience in modeling, simulation and analysis or operations research.
• Experience using a scripting language (Python, R, or similar).
• Experience applying advanced statistical and analytic methodologies to challenging problems.
• Experience with designing experiments to answer analytic questions.
• Experience developing presentations and communicating results to senior leaders.
• Must be curious to explore new problems and develop creative solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must work onsite at the customer facility; remote work is not available.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams of software developers, engineers, and data analysts in analytical research and operator-in-the-loop studies.
• Design and model complex heterogeneous systems including aircraft, missiles, radars, and communications.
• Apply advanced analytics to large datasets to gain insights for future technologies.
• Direct and participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and triage.

Essential Job Functions:

• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead multi‑disciplinary teams of software developers, engineers, and data analysts in conducting complex analytical research and Operator‑in‑the‑Loop studies. Provide direct mentorship to junior engineers in MS&A and modeling methodologies.
• System Modeling: Design and model complex heterogeneous systems, including Aircraft Systems, Missile Systems, Radars, Jamming (Electronic Warfare), and Communications.
• Advanced Analytics: Apply advanced analytic principles to large datasets to gain insights into challenging research and engineering questions related to future technologies.
• Agile Framework: Direct and participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and triage.

Required Skills:

• Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, US citizenship is required.
• Must have an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain.
• Must have a Bachelors degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Analytics or Similar).
• 8‑10 years of professional experience in modeling, simulation and analysis or operations research analysis.
• Experience using a scripting language (Python, R, or similar).
• Experience in applying advanced statistical and analytic methodologies to assess challenging research problems.
• Experience with applying scientific methodologies to design experiments that answer specific research and analytic questions.
• Experience developing presentations and communicating results to senior leaders.
• Must be curious to explore new problems and develop creative solutions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desired Skills:

• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Master’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Analytics or Similar).
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies, specifically utilizing the Scrum Framework.
• Experience developing machine learning models and employing them in a research setting.
• Experience utilizing or developing AFSIM focused on mission‑level modeling and scenario analysis.
