About

Launch Bonus: This position qualifies for a $40,000 USD internal launch bonus.

Eligibility Requirements: Candidates are ineligible to receive more than one Launch Bonus within a calendar year. Bonus payments are payable in accordance with the Company's standard payroll practice and subject to applicable withholding taxes.

Our Sr. Operations Managers are responsible for all budgetary, people development, and operations objectives. They oversee all aspects of operations at the site, manage and lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, coach and mentor the team to ensure performance objectives are met, build positive employee relations, and develop leadership within the Fulfillment Center.

Responsibilities

• Drive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Lean initiatives to meet and exceed business plans.
• Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of inbound or outbound operations.
• Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers, measure performance, provide feedback, and hold them accountable.
• Leverage ideas from Operations and Area Managers to create improvement plans.
• Share best practices across departments and shifts.
• Collaborate with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, other Sr. Operations Managers) to secure support and resources for projects and initiatives.

Additional Job Elements

• Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds.
• Perform bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching regularly.
• Walk frequently in the FC, which spans over a quarter mile.
• Stand and walk an average of 5 miles daily.
• Work in noisy, unlit, unheated, or unair-conditioned environments.
• Access all areas of the building safely, including ladders and stairs.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years Amazon experience.
• 7+ years of direct management experience in manufacturing, production, or distribution.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques.
• Experience with staffing lifecycle, including hiring, performance management, and promotions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Experience with contingent workforce during peak seasons.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle stressful situations.
• Interest in long-term career development across multiple FCs nationwide.
